A Guest

Hello all, this is Mikey, Nini's hubby. Nini just asked me to make a quick appearance and inform everyone of our further weight loss progress.

This past week Nini lost an additional 2 pounds so her total weight loss adds up to 12 pounds, all within a month of starting Weight Watchers. I lost 3 pounds, which finally brings me under the 200 lb mark. Pretty amazing considering I felt I was bad this week, but I guess that is what the flex points are for.

Both of us are pretty happy with our progress, but good lord dieting can be hard some days. Earlier this evening we were invited over to our neighbor’s house for a BBQ. Normally we would be apprehensive in attending a meet where the burger greases, hot dog mystery meat, and highly sugared (is that a word??) BBQ sauces are present in such abundance, but 1st we couldn't resist the allure of the delicious grill born carcinogens, and 2nd (and more importantly), we really want to get to know our neighbors. Turns out it was a very good move... Our neighbors, A & D, are fantastic people (with a very cute family and house I might add) and the food was absolutely awesome, we even got fed cake... WOO HOO!! The evening was full of great conversation, great company and great food. A & D, if you end up reading this, thank you so much for your hospitality, and incase you are curious, BBQ's in moderation, are more then okay for our diets. Turns out we still have a few 'overflow' points available for further overindulgence during the rest of the week :).

By the way, if anyone is curious, the whole sentence above “Normally we would be apprehensive in attending a meet where the burger greases, hot dog mystery meat, and highly sugared BBQ sauces are present in such abundance” is a complete lie. I don’t think I have ever turned down a good BBQ and neither should any of you.
