Back from the weekend
It feels like a Monday, in fact I keep thinking it is Monday. Hubby Mikey took the actual Monday off work (and Tuesday as well) and it gave us a nice long weekend. So now, I'm off kilter as far as my days go. It's ok though. I'd much rather think it's Monday on a Wednesday than think it's Friday when it's really Thursday. Not much good can come of thinking your next day is the weekend only to realize you still have one more mundane day to go before your break.
We spent the first half of our weekend playing countless hours of video games with five children ages 3-7, and coaxing two babies into naps and mushy bananas. We were watching our niece and nephews over night on Saturday so my brother and "new" sister could have their first night away from their children. Ever. (Staying overnight at the hospital to give birth to the next child definitely doesn't count). They had a romantic getaway at the Broadmore hotel in Colorado Springs. And man, I can't think of any couple more deserving of a weekend being pampered than these two. I am amazed by they way they can do... anything. Laundry, meal time, errands... any task that includes five children under the age of 8 just leaves me baffled. But they do it, and they do it well. Cheers to Mopsy and my brother!
