Quiet house
Today Bug has embarked on his first big boy adventure. He's spending a whole week with his Grandma and Granddad at their home in Albuquerque.
I'm surprised I didn't get teary as he was driven away. He was so excited this morning I suppose it was infectious. As he was getting dressed he grabbed the only shirt he could reach, a Rapids' jersey that's about 4 sizes to large. He ran up to me (as best he could in his mock dress)and proclaimed that he was ready to go.
After a change of shirt and his bag was packed, he was ready for his journey. He had a bounce in each step he took to the car on the way out, practically dragging his grandparents along the way.
This trip is his reward for his new found expertise with the toilet. He's so proud, so happy, and getting so big!
The house is quiet without him here. Sweetiepeas is doing her best to make up for the lack of excitement, but I know she's missing the activity too.
I know he'll have a wonderful time. I did when I went to visit my grandparents during the summer. I know he'll be spoiled, and that he'll expend record amounts of energy, tiring his loving grandparents. Then after a week filled with activities and too many desserts he'll come home to a familiar bed and a family who missed him.
