Oh Man!

I forgot to update y'all on our weight progress... Gosh darn it -I knew I was getting behind!

I think we're pretty used to the diet now. It's definitely gotten easier, though I still have my weak moments. -Especially on Saturday. Hubby Mikey and I had a rare date night out (bowling and P.F. Chang's) and decided to forgo the point counting during dinner. I still tried to make wise decisions, like the brown rice instead of white and tea for my drink. But over all I didn't (& don't) feel bad about going off the wagon for a night, especially since we don't usually get a night to ourselves. (A big thanks to Mom and Dad for watching the kiddiewinks!)- On to our weigh-in. I lost another pound and a half (total of 13.5!) and poor Mikey actually had a weight gain of 3 lbs. -My guess is it was water related since the day after he weighed again and had not only ditched the 3 lbs but another .5 lb too!-
We'll keep on nibbling our way through -seeing the results is fab!

Busy, busy, busy

As always I'm behind on my blog... I think I should just suck it up and admit I'll only ever be able to commit to a once a week blogging schedule. If I'm lucky I can up it to two times. Oh well, motivation eludes me.
I got squashed by a tummy bug the past couple of days and besides Hubby Mikey my best friend was the couch -I think you can still see my imprint there.- Blech, I very much dislike being sick, but anything stomach related takes the cake on bad ways to spend your day.

Prior to being prescribed the couch, my parents were in town(in fact, they left town just as I began feeling sick-just my luck!). They were here for an Oxyfresh convention and ended up making it almost a 2 week stay. It was great to see them both. They are funny. It's amazing how every time I see them, I see more of where I came from - personality-wise. My stubbornness, my impulsiveness, what I find funny, they all came from my parents - and so much more. I'm starting to see more of these traits in Bug too. Like my parents have said, man are we in for it! But I can't wait to see how Bug's sense of humor develops, and Leigh's cheeky mischievousness continues. How lucky are HM (Hubby Mikey) and I to witness them growing up! I'm excited for every step along the way. And I suppose each step will further my path of turning into my parents - YIKES!
(& WOW!)
